Hi! I’m Jamie :). My mission is to help everyone feel confident in themselves, encouraged in their parenting, and successful in their relationships.
I am from the west coast and love to spend time exploring outside. I have traveled a little bit and can’t wait to go on more adventures. We currently live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for my husband’s job after he finished his military career. We have 3 kids, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 goose, and an assortment of chickens.
If you are like me you thought you knew how to parent like an expert… until you had your own kids! I had been a babysitter, a nanny, worked in classrooms, taught school groups, and worked with multiple families. When I had my first daughter I realized I wanted to know more and be confident in my parenting techniques for my family. I dove into parenting research. I found that the principles of positive discipline resonated with me AND had the research to back up why it is such an amazing way to parent. I read books and articles, listened to podcasts, and knew the principles. However, I was still getting my military husband on board with the parenting techniques between frequent trips and deployments, and starting our first successful business. I wanted us both to feel really confident in parenting our tiny humans the best way possible. So, as our family grew I found an expert. I was fortunate to begin to work with and be mentored by an amazing Positive Discipline Coach in San Diego. The more I learned, the more I wanted to share all the amazing principles I was learning (and am still learning and practicing - parenting is a never ending learning experience!). I decided to get certified as a coach myself so I could share Positive Discipline with other parents.
I love being a mom to my three children and draw from real life experience as a parent that I can share with you. That doesn’t mean I don’t get frustrated and I am NOT a perfect parent. I know how to pick myself up, laugh at my mistakes, and dive back into the positive discipline tools and try again. I am here to walk the journey with you and offer a space to learn and grow with me as your guide and cheerleader while we grow our awesome kids.
Military Life Experience
After 10 years of military family life my husband transitioned out of the military and here we are in Texas! For 7 of those years we had children. That experience gave me unique perspectives on what it is like to parent without a partner present for deployments and through frequent transitions due to schools, underways, trainings, and more deployments. If you know, you know right? Military life is HARD - I am passionate about helping ease transitions for children and parents while keeping relationships strong - whether those relationships are between you and your children, or you and a partner.
Combination Coaching
Often multiple aspects of our life go hand in hand. As people start working on parenting they may realize their relationships with their partners can also use a boost… which in turn helps them become better parents together. Or (moms especially, I see you) someone wants to add some priority time for themselves to find the path towards their goals or develop a more fulfilled feeling in life. This can also rejuvenate you as a parent!
These concepts go so hand in hand with finding joy in parenting that I attained a certification in life coaching and and am working towards an additional certification in relationship connection. I want to help you solve everyday challenges and take steps to your future self.
I am here to help YOU navigate life and parenting. How can I help?
